Default Different clues this year?

I was looking back at some older clue booklets and one from last year and realized that the clues are almost (if not exactly in some places) the same. Are we getting new clues this year? I know there's a limit to the number of streets but can we get some more variety on the clues?

TA,

Thanks for your inquiry, and for your obvious loyalty to this event.

There are MANY factors that go into Danger Run route design. There are 12 different routes each year, and while some routes share components with others, we have to keep multiple completely unique routes from each gate as a contingency for unexpected road closures, etc. One puzzle we face is keeping all 12 routes equal in terms of number of clues, approximate turns, distance, complexity and drive time. Remember too that we send everyone by certain points (DQ's, Speedways), and many of these must remain the same. These are all limiting factors that result in occasionally repeated segments.

HOWEVER, we never repeat entire routes and can guarantee that most clues are new and unique year to year. Here's a couple of tips you can use to ensure the most unique experience possible, either from one year to the next, or even for multiple runs on the same year:

1) Start from a different gate
2) If from the same gate, request a route with BOTH numbers different. If you had, for example E21 last year, ask for E12 this year.

Going that way, you will see very few, if any repeats.

Again... Thanks for your interest. Have fun this year!

Default Thanks!

Thank you very much for your response, and I will make sure to do that! I usually try to start from both points in Kentucky but knowing there are different numbers is great! Thanks for your help.
