Default Big Problem

My group and I are Danger Run veterans having won it in 2005. We went on our run last night starting from the Lowe's on Dixie. About 20-30 minutes into it, we found ourselves at Wathen Lane between Dixie and 7th Street stopped by construction on a railroad track. Unless we just totally screwed up, we reached a point where we could go no further. Luckily, we knew how to get to the other side of the tracks by taking Algonquin around to 7th Street and meeting up on the other side of the construction. But, because of this, we had to do some creative math and deduct our mileage for the trip around the construction.

Surely, someone else encountered this as well and has complained. Hopefully, this did not screw up our mileage too much. If it did, it is really not fair. The signs at the construction site stated the work took place from October 20-25, so this only affected those on the Danger Run on the 24th and 25th and no one from the previous weeks.

Matt,

This is the 1st I have heard of this, but you WERE in the right place. We have 2 different sources for information on road closures, and neither had any information on the closing on Wathen. There are 12 routes in all, and you happened to get one of two hitting this closure. I apologize for the inconvenience.

We DO have a couple of options: If you know the exact detour you took, as well as your odometer reading at the finish line. I will calculate the exact amount of extra distance traveled and adjust your final distance. I realize you may have already done that, but this would ensure your "Danger Run Math" was accurate.

Do you have that information?

Thanks for the response Joe...we worked it out using creative math and got the correct mileage anyway.
